Release Highlights

Key changes of the 4.5.0 release:

• OpenID federations: support for 1.0 version of the standard, both in OAuth/OIDC authenticator and in OAuth IdP (AS)
• OAuth Device authorization grant: support for the RFC 8628: OAuth 2.0 Device Authorization Grant
• Private key JWT authentication mechanism supported for all OAuth clients (not only federation ones)
• Improved invitation management in UpMan

Warning: this release contains a serious defect, which was addressed in 4.5.1. It is advised to use 4.5.1 instead of 4.5.0 in all cases.

Upgrade from 4.4.x

Unity-IdM 4.5.0 introduces no DB changes. However, as a security routine, it is recommended to back up the database and thoroughly test the new release before performing an upgrade on production instances.
